Getting Started with Python for Security 101

  • 1871 222 West Merchandise Mart Plaza Chicago, IL, 60654 United States

Come participate and learn in this hands-on interactive lab and see a glimpse of Evolve's company space!

Abstract:

Evolve's lead instructor, Brian Liceaga, will introduce a few basic ways in which Python can be used for network and application security testing. The Python programming language has been a long time favorite of many security professionals because of its ease of use, integration, and extensibility. Brian will be covering raw sockets, Scapy, and the mechanize library for automated web attacks. This meetup will be administered as a lab, so be sure to have a Kali Linux VM setup prior to the event if you plan on participating and following along.
